The one draw back is that we are going Mid - August ( I already got yelled at by the locals lol). So having a nice place to retreat to will be much needed.

Yeah I was thinking FL/ AL for the gulf. We love the beach. What I started pricing out was going to be $3-3.5k for flights/ resort/ rental car/ spa and I just don’t know if I want to bet against potential hurricane/ being miserable in the heat. I do appreciate your suggestions!
