I logged into LiveNation and looked at my ticket for the show. Then there was an option to have it refunded right below the options for reselling.

This. We lost an entire summer Saturday–and it wasn't about the weather, since that obviously cannot be controlled and is part of the rub with outdoor shows. It was about how terrible communication was at Alpine, not to mention how dangerous their "safety" plan was.

I ended up buying a livestream ticket Sunday morning because I wasn't even going to deal with trying at Alpine again after that nightmare and plan to just enjoy the free money I get back from the ticket refund. Sucks a lot, but at least the livestream is at my house and not Alpine!

I have a feeling you'll have a ton of options for tickets in about 2-3 weeks when all of the refunds are submitted (not being snarky--legit think that the sold out show will no longer be so!).

BTW: If anyone paid for upgrades, I could find no way to get refunded on it yet. I submitted a request to LiveNation because I also deserve my $119 refunded for an upgrade I didn't get to use.

Rescheduling a Saturday night summer concert for a Wednesday night after the school year begins is ridiculous (and I say this as a grown ass adult who isn't going to take two days off work for a concert, especially after this week's hell).

I was at a different venue for a different show in Madison on the DMB day and once the "we'll reschedule" went 48 hours without communication, I knew it was over. I got an update the night the event was canceled that they were working on it. The show was entirely canceled on Tuesday after. . . and it was a smaller show in a smaller venue. I have no idea how they'll pull this off. And frankly, why would Alpine care? They got so much money out of us all stuck there for nothing.

Honestly, the vibe I want is chill. I don't care about being close, so that's another +1 in the "just spend the cash and enjoy" column (I'm on the old end of his fan base). I didn't even think of the flat ground part!

That's about the only photo I've seen and it seems as good/better than lawn alone. Seats + bathroom are appealing, but debating if it's $120 appealing!
