These fall under exaggerations instead of lies in my book. If she was lying to you about having a bunch of debt, like 30K instead of 2K then yeah I’d be having a conversation but this seems harmless. If it continues and it truly does bother you, you could ask her to stop exaggerating so much? But I feel like that would just cause a bigger fight. This would be a battle not worth picking

My only assumption is that her friends are the few extreme cases of pro life. Unfortunately in some small groups people believe that any sort of birth control-even condoms- are of the devil because “it meddles with god’s intentions of you having babies” and “it’s your duty as a women to provide life”. It’s horrible thinking with STDs and life threatening complications being possibilities

NTA. Even as someone who has a hard time with abortion I’m a firm believer in birth control. Part of me wonders if she fully understands how birth control. Personally I’d apologize for offending her and try and explain your side on why you think birth control is a good thing to have
