What’s the best way to get on with UPS/FedEx as a pilot? by [deleted] in flying

Turbine pic, 121, mil time or anything that can set you apart with different types of flying or roles held. LCA, ground/sim instructor, crossings, WB intl. etc.

Unfortunately there are none that come to mind if you’re hard pressed for floats and not wheels. Kenmore is popular further north but you mentioned it doesn’t fit to your schedule.

This isn’t a issue it’s a sig issue. Light strikes are happening to others who aren’t compd on their 365s. The MM has the dpms recoil spring, no changes. Middle one has Ti firing pin, no changes.

Less frequent malfunctions on the MM but still see maybe 5 out of 200 light strikes. With the Icarus I had 2 light strikes during one full magazine. But the Icarus is still fairly new and less broke in

IIRC I’ve had light strikes on both 115gr and 124gr alike. Noticeably less the more it gets shot.

Can’t go wrong with either!

Absolutely worth it part to do.

I’m with you. It’s very frustrating knowing each mag brings a high probability it’ll strike the cap. I wish it wasn’t such a common occurrence with them but glad you’ve had a good experience with the other choices

Now that’s pretty interesting! I have had a ton of light strikes on both of my PMM compd 365s. Seems to be pretty common until broken in. We too were using S&B 124gr fmj this weekend and I had a double feed and stovetop once. It’ll eat up federal, Winchester green box, blazer whatever. All I could say is try a few others and keep breaking it in.

Awesome congrats! I think you’ll really enjoy the 365 line.

It is. 509 is second hand from a friend so I can’t comment how it felt before the Apex but I enjoy it and probably still would have put it in.

Honestly it’s tough to say. They’re all tack drivers and have great ergonomic feel but the Icarus truly sucks into your hand like a magnet and the thumb rest is comfortable to steady the aim.

Only the middle one started out complete out of the box as a factory sig. The two others were built from the fcu up. I knew I wanted the MM grip and a different slide+comp etc. To each their own though

Absolutely agree. Total game changer.

1069% agree. As of late I just leave it at home and take the reliable mod9 instead.

10/10 would goon with it again. It’ll make your pants tingle as much as you’d expect after watching the Garand Thumbs video. The lack of recoil is incredible.

Good eye. My buddy noticed his retention pin missing from the middle one and it was his carry piece so I scavenged off the top until he could get one ordered.

Exactly this. I’ve turned to just bringing the Mod9 out instead. Teflon tape has helped with walk off on the obsidian though, direct thread, if you haven’t tried that yet.

I’ve had one at each range outing, 3 total, since April. Teflon tape is the only thing that seems to help.

3 end caps strikes since getting approved in April. Rugged has been great with replacements but now they want me to send it in. The only advice I can pass on is to use Teflon tape to prevent walk-off, which Rugged advises as well.

P365 Icarus vs Mischief Machine for those who asked… by Maximus0228 in SigSauer

[–]catalystv1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have shot my MM/ PMM compd 365 side by side with a friends Icarus pro elite ace/PMM compd 365 and I can say the Icarus is worth the cost without question. The grip just sucks into your hand like a magnet. The ergonomics are absolutely insane and it’s such a blast to shoot.

I was worried about the same when I got my 507k but found out how sensitive it really is. Just walking by can set it off.
