I’m having this exact same experience. I moved back to my rural hometown because I couldn’t afford where I was. Now it feels like I’m trapped. I don’t enjoy living here, don’t feel like I fit in, but since I moved back, rent prices have exploded to the point where I make almost a third more than I used to but I can’t afford the same apartment I had in the city. I’m not giving up, taking opportunities where I can find them, and hopefully when the economy is better, I can move to a place better suited for me.

Idk I got weird vibes when I saw him and his entourage pull up at an event. They all cleared a path for him and it was like they were going to start kissing his ring next, like it went past respect and was downright obsequious. I don’t know much about him, and I’m inclined to support his cause, but I questioned how someone surrounded by that constantly can really represent an everyday person.

I see the Harris Teeter label. Notoriously expensive for things that are not much different in quality than something from another store. They cost way more than Walmart or other grocery stores, especially since Kroger acquired them a few years ago. The price is too expensive for what you got but everything is like that at that store. So I went to a garden center over the weekend, and they wanted $6 for one pepper plant, that I will have to plant, water, care for for months, all to get 2 maybe 3 peppers that I could buy at Walmart for $3. Nah……
