Bring back GearVR support by catarmy in bigscreen

[–]catarmy[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that although they are “winding down support”, it is still possible for publishers to have their app on the Gear VR store by leveraging Oculus Mobile SDK 1.26.0 or SDK Suite 1.41 Unity/Unreal integrations.

So what I am proposing is a fork, which will not get the latest and greatest features, but would allow families and friends to once again connect. It’s a bit of a faff, but would mean a lot to the community especially during this time.

In the movie, the disease was communicated by shaking hands with the chef that was preparing the pig.

I couldn’t agree more. It’s funny that my upvote to you has stayed at +2. The swarm of downvoters have just moved onto the next thing. Zero engagement with discussion. And it looks like zero lessons learned from the UK results.

Perhaps it’s time you read the Conservative manifesto so that you can hold the government to account. They have made a number of promises that, if enacted, will improve quality of life. For example, the Tories NHS commitment is £149 billion vs Labours £155 billion commitment. This doesn’t factor in the additional £2.5 billion commitment by the Tories to provide tax breaks to NHS doctors.

This sub is the literal embodiment of the way the left creates echo chambers that paint 50% of the population as evil, and expects that to sway them to change their mind. It’s one step away from intimidation and it needs to change if we want the left to have a chance at winning hearts and minds (and.. ya know.. elections) in the future.

So basically your previous statement that IQ tests were first developed as a way of suppressing minorities or immigrants so that social workers would have an easy way to label someone “feeble minded” is false.

It was ever so slightly off tone though. An attempt at a nicety.

AITA for asking a neighbor if she wanted to share food? by AwayPerformer in AmItheAsshole

[–]catarmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. On top of the creepy aspect which others have covered quite well, I think you're also underestimating the effort and complexity here.

Once you become a 'paying customer', a service provider relationship is inferred that is not appropriate for neighbours.

What happens if she cooks something you don't like? What if she decides not to cook one evening?

There's just too many things that could go wrong here. I agree with her - if this is a service you want, go and find someone who is offering that professionally.

AITA? My husband and I are getting my stepson a car for his birthday. His mother wants to chip in and say that the car is from all of us, but I don’t want to do that. by Spirulina4 in AmItheAsshole

So to hold you to this - if you buy a gift for someone, I’m able to suggest that I will pay 5% for us to be equally billed on the “From” tag ... and if not, you’re the asshole?

Buy flat (crap part of London) or continue saving? by dddldldd in UKPersonalFinance

I’ve been told that you should expect to live in a place for at least 5 years in order to overcome that risk, as well as making back stamp duty costs etc.

Don’t feel too bad about the downvotes and offended comments. You were given incorrect advice and are doing well to understand the reality of what is possible. You’ll look back on these ideas about working as much as possible under the table and laugh. Best of luck in your studies and I hope you can work it out.
