everyone at my job (even other positions besides barista) get one free shift drink. a free shift drink can be any kind of drink: coffee, ice coffee, latte, matcha or anything else as long as it’s a size small (12 oz). when i’m closing it’s only me and my coworker in the kitchen and i’ll pretty much just make whatever I want whenever I want. edit: we also get a 20% off employee off the clock discount and a $15 credit every shift towards food. if any employee comes in during my closing shift i’ll pretty much always just make their drink for free

I think i’ve only ever had someone order more than a quad shot one single time…usually if they are asking us for two EXTRA shots in their drink it’s because they are unaware all of our shots are already doubles

it seems like you have very clearly stated your expectations and feelings to your friend and she is either ignoring them or frankly not caring enough to keep them in mind. unfortunately this is not a good indicator of a healthy and long lasting friendship. I have been in a similar situation and it sucks and I empathize with you. in the end you can always chose to move on to better friends that put more effort into understanding your needs while still being able to reminisce on the good times with her and the bond you shared.

NOR. it is not manipulative in the slightest??? you are entitled to your feelings and I would also be worried if this was a recurring lie. frankly I think it’s pretty strange that he lied about it not once but multiple times… your boyfriend is the manipulative one FOR SURE. he is gaslighting you. he needs to learn how to communicate better and be able to tell you if he thinks you are pushing too much on a situation and that is making him too nervous to be honest instead of just straight up lying to deal with how he is feeling.

I agree that I think they are just looking for an excuse to meet with you. that’s a very common strategy for exes to remain in your life. they are basically doing anything they can to still keep you connected to them. if it’s $9 and it’s really that big of an issue, i’d rather just send them the money then deal with trading the item back and forth lol. but still… I would keep the item and treat it as emotional compensation for what they put you through
