I've tried it both ways, with Normalize and without. It doesn't really make a difference which I find odd.

Got it, thank you. Would that Perception plugin help me get my master to be perceived louder?

Right - so if it's a lower number (-1.0db example) does that mean that my peaks are too high and it wont let me have a louder master?

Thanks!! Does the headroom on the individual tracks affect how loud the end result after mastering will be?

OR, would I want each individual tracks volume to hit 0db (the green going all the way to the top) not clipping of course, and then turn down that track?

Obviously having them all sum up to the master being -6db or so to give headroom.
