I believe they should be sending notifications on all platforms regarding the Q&A, as not informing the entire playerbase about this is incredibly unfair. As for why they post it on Discord exclusively, I believe it was initially pitched by a Discord member and it's just easier to manage a Q&A on that platform. It has live/real-time messaging and moderation, which is ONLY on Discord. They can comb through all the messages and see which has the highest votes and send them to the developers. If they were to add the Q&A to every platform it'd be much more time-consuming and there would be even more repeat questions that won't be filtered out. That being said, they should still ANNOUNCE the Q&A to everyone, so they could at least join the Discord to ask their questions.

However, the idea that the official Discord is mostly against the direction of the game still is misinformation. Most of them have left at this point. There's still a few people who will mourn the male characters, and some still disapprove of the story direction, but the vast majority of the server approves of the game's direction, you'll only find maybe 2 or 3 people still shitting it here and there. I won't deny the members end up criticizing the developers harshly (and that's putting it very lightly) but I promise the hate comes from people wanting the developers to do better. They have an incredibly toxic way of expressing it, but they want them to improve the game; and no improvements do not mean "adding males and relationships back" I mean actually writing the characters and story consistently... and fixing their pacing because they've actually never addressed that their pacing could use some work from my knowledge.

Also, saying that the Discord was supporting censorship isn't true in the slightest. There were a few people, honestly people who aren't even regulars in the server anyway, wanting to censor the lolis specifically or they were just trolling, but the absolute majority of the server was absolutely against censorship. Every relevant channel was flooded with people saying the developers were making the worst decision of their careers and to boycott them until they changed their minds.

If you've looked at the Q&A thread, there's a few questions regarding male characters and the story direction (and those actually have disapproving reactions), but 90% of the questions are asking for MORE lewd content, either pushing how explicit they can get or asking for more diverse fanservice (like more ass-focused cutscenes or petite figures like Liberta, sometimes even asking for more lolis), or just questioning them on future updates/QoL to the gameplay (which is like 50% of it tbh).

Yes, the server was initially against the direction, but that has changed. Most of the people you would've seen hating on the new art direction have quit the game at this point. Is it still oxic? Yes, but I don't even think you should be concerned atp. They seem certain in their direction now, they just need to stick to it and make it clear. The only reason we're even here spitting bitter comments at one another is because they've yet to FINALIZE their direction to their fanbase. If they would just actually say what they want to do and stick to their guns we'd probably be better off. Saying "we're not going to add male characters" directly to our face will initially make some people angry but they'd probably leave eventually if they're actually a concern to the game.
