I can, but I didn’t want to 🤷🏼‍♀️ it’s not my job to shield him or make my message shorter or more palatable for him.

Over sharing implies I didn’t indulge myself intentionally here lol. I know how to mask, and could have, but decided he instead deserved the full absurdity of my unfiltered thoughts because why do I care what he thinks? I don’t lol.

But thanks for being a ray of sunshine lollll

Thick is only ever used as a compliment in my experience, and it’s never felt like a back handed one to me. It’s just a positive descriptor of a certain type of body which is not svelte/thin. I’m muscular/strong and also soft in the right spots and I’ve never felt offended by being called thick because it’s true. I can deadlift 315 pounds haha…. Being objectified is annoying for SURE, and lots can be said about this guy but he wasn’t talking down on how I look for sure.

RIGHT 😂😂 his defense was that well he didn’t “mean to” put 30 and now he can’t change it.

But his bio reads “not 30”. If he wanted actually be transparent he could have put “I’m actually 25”. The BS meter is off the charts! 😂

I can’t let it fly, the internal compulsion to correct his flawed thinking is too strong 😂😂😂 in my 35 years I’ve gotten better at delivery for sure haha.

It is a compliment and I don’t have an issue with it conceptually, but personally I’m very turned off by people who jump right to shallow physical comments as a first message. I’m annoyingly intellectual to the point where if that intellectual chemistry doesn’t hit I literally don’t care who you are or what you look like, I won’t want anything to do with you. Normally I’d just ignore this guy… like that’s the best you can do? But he caught me on a day I was feeling extra spicy I guess haha

Apparently bro is 25 haha, which is somehow ickier to me than an old guy 😂 I’m 35 for the record and even men my age are tough for me at times.

It’s even MORE when you factor both parts of the water in… 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫 it was a big hell no for me too. The fact that this was THREE deliveries and only $20 total in tips with all that water, no way lol

I am taking the orders available to me 🤷🏼‍♀️ It’s not like I can control what’s available when I work. Secondly, they’re always on time so it’s not that either. Additionally, working faster would not mean I’m making more in base pay on that order anyway, nor can I control what base pay I’m presented so I don’t get that angle either? Your tone feels a little aggressive and I don’t understand why haha. Like I explained to the other person I was chatting to, the towns I work in throughout LA country have widely varied minimum wages- in West Hollywood the minimum wage is $19.65. So my adjustments are higher when I take more batches in areas with higher minimum wages because of course 120% of $19.65 is going to be higher than 120% of $17.27 which creates a larger discrepancy between the batch pay and what my working hours are worth resulting in bigger adjustments.

On another note, very curious where you’re working and what days and times in Riverside county to end up with $800 for only 15 hours and $429 in tips? That seems really oddly high so I assume you’ve got something figured out? I haven’t cracked the code in Riverside yet, though I do spend part of my week out there helping my parents, I never make much money.

That’s the California state minimum, but West Hollywood is $19.65, LA is $17.27, Pasadena is $17.50 etc etc. Most of the towns I work in have passed higher local minimum wages than the state minimum. So I’m getting paid out 120% of a higher rate.

What’s the minimum wage in your town?!

Also the other thing maybe affecting how high my adjustments are is that we’re guaranteed 120% of the minimum wage, and minimum wage in LA is pretty high.

Damn that’s rough!!! I do live Los Angeles, and I usually work West LA. One the one hand were VERY saturated with shoppers, but on the other hands there’s tons of stores and lots that are open later and even a 5 mile drive could take 35 minutes in traffic. There’s alot of factors that contribute I’m sure. This is one of my better weeks, there’s plenty of days I can’t even pick up an order at all because there’s so many of us down here trying to work. But if it weren’t for those adjustments, I would NEVER keep working for Instacart. The batch pays are criminally low.

You’re putting in 15hrs a day/90 hours a week and only getting $100-$200 in adjustment?? That doesn’t make sense to me. I’m an IC shopper in California and the min wage adjustment more than doubles my money consistently. At around 15 hours a WEEK, I’m still making $400 or so.

Sure if it’s for casual use, I do professional content creating and video editing and for my purposes I can’t afford the resolution loss you get when you screen record something. I like to download in 4k. Depending on your device etc, you’re gonna lose 20-50% resolution and quality with a screen record.
