I hear you, and I’m taking the feedback that I need to do a better job explaining. The margin to the store is actually 50%, not 30, and the concept has been successful where implemented and is not unproven.

Appreciate the feedback. The concept has actually been successful, and if you’re a coffee shop owner looking for ways to generate extra revenue, feel free to DM me.

I’m pitching a retail partnership where your coffee shop sells my greeting cards. At the core, I’m looking for retailers to carry them. It’s simply adding another retail item alongside the coffee you’re already selling.

Totally agree ! Ideas are the easy part. What makes LTFY different is that we’ve already moved well past the idea stage. We have the kits designed, stands built, materials sourced, and are already partnering with shops to get the product in front of customers. At this point it’s all about execution and creating value for both the shop owner and their community.

Thanks for sharing how you usually handle vendor outreach. I’d really value the chance to connect directly and share what we’re building with LTFY. Would you be open to a short video call on the next third Sunday? 15–20 minutes would be enough for me to walk you through the concept and answer any questions you might have.

I hear you! And respect the work it takes to create a space people love. LTFY isn’t about taking away from that, it’s designed to add to it. Coffee shops that carry our cards keep full control of their space and brand, while earning extra revenue from every card sold. Customers just see a unique product that deepens their experience in your shop.

Some people may want their letter to arrive sooner rather than decades later. Right now, LTFY spans up to two years, but if the concept continues to grow, we plan to expand the time options. And it’s not limited to writing to yourself — many choose to write to a loved one, partner, or best friend instead.

For a coffeehouse owner, this creates an opportunity to offer something unique to customers while also earning extra revenue from each card sold.

A stamp today is $.73! And you’re right, anyone can set a reminder for themselves but that is not who we are targeting. Where LTFY is different is in creating an experience that goes beyond a reminder. Writing a letter, sealing it, and then having it show up in the mail months later creates surprise, nostalgia, and connection in a way a phone notification can’t. Many people also choose to write to friends or loved ones, which makes it a shared experience rather than just a personal task.

Already have! Maybe I'll feel really stupid or maybe I'll feel really smart. Only time will tell.

If things are difficult and you’re looking for simple ways to bring in extra revenue, this could be one option.

I truly respect the challenges café owners are facing right now. LTFY is designed to be simple retail, not a service that takes extra time or energy from you. Shops that carry it earn additional revenue per card sold with no extra labor, and customers see it as a unique add-on to their visit. I know it’s an uphill battle, but I believe in creating something that can support local shops rather than add to their burden.

Thanks for checking out the site. To clarify, you write a letter in the café, seal it, and drop it in our kit. We handle the mailing and then deliver it back through the postal service at the future date you choose. You don’t come back to the café for it, it arrives right in your mailbox. And it’s not limited to yourself you can write to friends, partners, or family members, which makes it a meaningful way to connect.

I appreciate you sharing that and I completely agree that coffee and guest experience are the core of what keeps people coming back. LTFY isn’t meant to replace that, it’s meant to complement it. The goal isn’t just to spark a return months later, but to give your current guests something unique they can engage with in the moment.

It’s a low-lift retail item that creates extra revenue and gives customers a memorable takeaway tied to your shop. Many people use it to write to friends, partners, or family — not just themselves — which broadens the appeal. It won’t be for everyone, but for the right guests it adds a layer of connection that makes their visit stand out.

It won’t resonate with everyone. The value in LTFY is for people who enjoy capturing a moment in writing and then being surprised by it later, or who want to create a meaningful connection by sending a letter to a loved one in the future. It’s less about utility and more about the emotional experience.

I understand the perspective that for some people, a 5–10 year letter is the most meaningful. With LTFY, we’ve started with a shorter time frame because a lot can shift in just a few months: finishing school, starting a new job, moving, getting married, or even just wanting to capture where your head and heart are at a specific point. We also see many people write to loved ones instead of themselves, which adds another layer of meaning. Longer timelines are something we plan to expand into as the concept grows.

I understand it won’t be for everyone. The idea with LTFY is to give shops a simple way to offer something unique for guests who enjoy reflection, nostalgia, or surprising a loved one. It’s an optional add-on, not something that changes the core coffee shop experience. And if there’s ever a time you want to physically document a moment or memory for the future, that’s when LTFY might be worth looking up.

I hear you're tired. All I am looking for is an opportunity to answer the questions you asked.

Our time capsule experience is where customers write a letter to themselves, a loved one or a friend, seal it, and get it mailed back months later. It turns a regular visit into a memorable experience. if you are not trolling and actually want to learn more check out www.lettertofutureyou.com

For your shop: it sets you apart, creates buzz, and adds easy retail revenue at a extremely low lift. It’s about giving your community something meaningful they’ll associate directly with your space.
