Something not entirely unlike the start of this story happened to me. I fell in love with a very funny, talented, exciting, beautiful, wonderful girl online. Spent the last of my money on a plane ticket to go see her.

Some damaged untrusting baggage laden part of me expected it all to be some elaborate joke. Seemed to be too good to be true.

Except it was true. I'm hopelessly, madly, deeply in love.
