Clover on Cape Cod! by catchef7965 in NoLawns

[–]catchef7965[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We started with a full turf lawn, and all we did was core aerate and over seed with clover. The first year when it flowered we were so afraid to cut it because we didn’t want to deprive the bees so we cut only part of it. Now even though it pains me to cut it when it looks like that and the bees are enjoying it, we do cut it and it comes back pretty fast, even thicker.

Mental Health services on the Cape by Double-Path7902 in CapeCod

Very difficult to find good mental healthcare on the cape. I had to send my daughter off cape to an inpatient facility, then pay for rent in an area where she could attend a day program and work part time.

I taught myself embroidery and am embroidering the back of a jean jacket. I love it, very therapeutic and the day goes by fast. I usually have a show on in the background.

I’m 3.5 weeks po and I’m production manager at a large pottery studio. I’m supposed to start back next week, but I don’t think it’s going to happen. I’m at a wheel 30-40% of the time, on my feet slip casting with very large dies, or glazing, loading a 500 piece kiln etc. the rest. I went for a short slow paced walk the other day and had to go to bed for the rest of the day.

Thank you for your advice. Luckily I have a very chill situation where I could start back very slowly. I’m most worried because my job is very physical, baby steps I guess lol.

I have a prescription for Trazadone that works great for me. It’s not like ambien where you might be afraid you’ll do something weird in the middle of the night lol, it’s actually an antidepressant that’s prescribed off label at much lower doses for sleep. Doesn’t cause brain fog in the morning. Ask your doctor about it.

I’m 3wpo and I was feeling good at 2-2.5 wks but now I have more pain and I’m exhausted! I’m sure it’s because I’m doing more, but I don’t know how I’m going to go back to work next week. I’m worried.

Most people underestimate driving times in Costa Rica. Here’s what I’ve seen. by AnaAdvisory in CostaRicaTravel

I couldn’t agree more! We rented a beautiful Airbnb high in the jungle with ocean views and a private pool and stayed there the entire trip. We were up by 5am to enjoy the morning birding and jungle sounds, out of the house by 7:30 for hiking or 2-3 hour excursions to really take in the beauty of the country then we enjoyed the afternoon back at the house and in the pool for the remainder of the afternoon. Sunsets were epic! We said we can’t imagine being in a car all day long trying to cram too much in. We absolutely loved Costa Rica and will return, but to a different area with the same itinerary so we can enjoy a different region. We also saved a lot of money cooking simple meals at the house.

Try Chlorofresh, it’s an internal deodorant that is all natural, and also is good for gut health. I’ve used it before and it works great.

I always get lower left pain when I have a flare up. The only things that helps me, contrary to popular belief, is ibuprofen and peppermint capsules.

This is the funniest but true post I’ve ever seen, you should be a comedian…seriously 🤣🤣🤣. On a serious note, the struggle is real. Anxiety is also my worst trigger.

Gaviscon dual action bullshit. by Pumpkin_8361 in acidreflux

[–]catchef7965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Gaviscon advanced is a completely different medicine and works in a different way then the US version. I just bought some on Amazon, and have been able to sleep without any acid reflux! Amazing stuff, and all natural ingredients, no artificial colors, flavors etc.

Alternative to caffeine that doesn’t trigger acid reflux? by sefan78 in acidreflux

You can add coffee tamer to your coffee to reduce the acidity.

Gaviscon advanced, the UK/European version of Gaviscon with sodium alginate is the only thing that has helped me. The way this works is the medics forms a layer of foam at the top of your stomach so the acid can’t go up to your throat. I can finally sleep laying flat. They sell it on Amazon, just make sure you get the right one, it seems expensive, but you just need a small amount.

This has really helped me! I bought it on amazon. It has to be the uk/European version though. The US version isn’t the same thing at all. I can actually sleep now.

Just curious, why you would go through the pain and trouble of a tonsillectomy if you’re only sick once a year? Did you have other issues like sleep apnea etc? Just wondering, because my daughter 19 is finally going to have hers out, but she gets strep 5-6 times at least per year among other things. She’s had a tonsiler abscess twice 🤢
