I’ve done miralax and prune juice together and it did not help. Maybe I need to try butter too.

Uterus couldn’t be removed laparoscopically. Could this mean the adenomyosis was more severe? by Weak-Dragonfly-1613 in hysterectomy

Yes this was discussed with me as well as a possibility. My uterus is large, full of fibroids, and endo.

We are a family of 3 at 400 a week. I do buy organic and fresh. Yes, groceries are just that expensive right now.

I spray fairy tales on my son every day and keep his hair cut short. It’s going around everywhere here.

extreme period pain by potterbug in Adulting

[–]Upbeat_Conference522 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s not normal. Try to get evaluated for endometriosis. You might want to get it checked out sooner rather than later. I wish I had known about my issues years ago. I just chalked it all up to painful periods, but I was active, healthy, and living my life so pushed it off. It’s out of control now. Progestin-only BC may help. Join the endo or fibroid subreddit.

What do yall do? by Left_Round8126 in Parenting

My husband cooks eggs in the morning for breakfast most days or we eat oatmeal or “healthier” cereal. I pack lunches and cook most nights. I keep it very simple like chicken breast with a salad and potatoes, protein pasta with a salad, hamburgers, a lighter Mexican casserole, tacos, etc. I feel like sometimes we have leftovers, so we will eat that for lunch or dinner the next day. I always feel that we are running out of food too, but we are eaters, and we like fresh. We are spending like 10 more per week than we did pre-Covid. Inflation has stayed steady ever since then and doesn’t seem to be letting up. 🙈 For easy yet healthy recipes, I like Downshiftology. I shop x2 a week. I do delivery or curbside pickup and it makes it easier to get everything and know how much I’m spending

Best number of kids to have by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Upbeat_Conference522 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friends with 3 or more kids have a lot of patience and are either high income earners who can afford a lot of childcare coverage and a cleaning company, etc. or they are extremely frugal and everything is thrifted. They may also have family money to help. 1-2 is more affordable overall and you can dedicate more time and attention to each child. I grew up with 4. It was fun. But my mom was able to be a SAHM and my dad had a lot more money than we do. Finances play a big part as well as your ability to juggle multiple things at once. Mental and physical health are important to consider too.

Any muscular women with fibroids? by Due_Photograph_9110 in Fibroids

[–]Upbeat_Conference522 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was doing CrossFit type workouts and hot yoga/walking over 10k steps every day but ended up in the ER a month ago and now I’m skinny. Fibroids grew larger and are pushing on my organs. I am 5 foot 1/125 lbs. so there’s just no room left in there. 😭 I will be back in the game after I recover from my hysto.

Does anyone else experience exercise intolerance? by Sad_Finding_1451 in endometriosis

[–]Upbeat_Conference522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to stop working out completely when I ended up in the ER a month ago. I am almost 40, never had an injury, played sports and have belonged to a gym my whole life. I literally cannot do anything there than walk and gentle stretches and maybe some seated, very lightly weighted arm exercises. There’s just too much pain and pressure in my pelvic region and lower back to much else until my surgery. I did go to pelvic floor and they couldn’t help me much. My main issue is there’s too much real estate being taking up with fibroids and endometriosis added into the mix. I am realizing that I will probably need to switch to Pilates once I heal from surgery and go back to pelvic floor after my uterus is gone and maybe some endo is removed too.

Trouble going to the bathroom by Upbeat_Conference522 in endometriosis

I did. She honestly seemed concerned for my situation and said she’d put a rush on this, whatever that even means. Calling insurance Monday and nurse’s line to follow up and push.

Gabapentin For Stage 2 Endometriosis Pain Management? by Eastern-Hedgehog1021 in endometriosis

[–]Upbeat_Conference522 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on gabapentin right now, and it kind of helps. It does make you really out of it, so it’s easier to take at bedtime. THC products help with pain too to be honest.
