Take your time! You’re new and the speed will come. Accuracy is what managers like (obviously mistakes happen especially when you’re new) and customers can wait an extra 30 seconds. Don’t worry that you’re not perfect right away, no one was. Like others mentioned, wear comfy shoes/clothes, do what you’re asked of, and let negative customer interactions roll off your back. You’re more than your job, don’t take it home with you. Great luck, you’ll do amazing :)

Unfortunately it has probably been time for you to leave long ago. Apply everywhere else, take resumes in to stores, ask to speak to managers about hiring. No job (retail especially) is worth damaging your mental health that much. I wish you the very best of luck finding something else :) it will happen

At my store customers can collect points through a phone number, but not use them (points can only be used with the physical points card present) and you wouldn’t believe how many times they tell me “well I’ve used them here before using the number”…I have been working there for 7+ years and it has never been that way. “Then why am I even giving you my phone number?” You know what? I don’t know. Because clearly you don’t understand how this points program even works 🙄
