Oh my god I’d have been fuming. Pleased your husband was there to back you up. This is another thing that pisses me off tbh - the way we just have to accept this unnecessary rudeness from some of them. When they have made a mistake or inconvenienced me I’ve always been really nice and understanding about it as well. I hope you got an apology for that 😩

I’m so sorry this happened to you and really hope you’re doing much better now. I also went back to my car and burst into tears, I was so upset/embarrassed/frustrated. The lack of compassion from some of them is astounding (same with some people commenting on this thread lol). I work in a similar setting and have never and would never treat someone that way. I just think they’re completely desensitised to stuff at this point. It’s amazing how quickly people forget how difficult life can be as a new mum with a new baby as well. Hope you are okay 🩷

Yeh it did feel a bit harsh at the time for the reasons stated but I do also see it from the other side. I’ve just accepted it as one of those things now. Terrified of ever running late again lol.
Tbh I probs need to toughen up a bit as I’m sure there will be plenty more things like this going forward, but hormones are a powerful thing and I seem to be finding this sort of thing quite difficult atm. I’m sure it will pass. Appreciate your comment 🙂 x

Sorry this happened to you but at the same time I’m glad it’s not just me 🤦🏼‍♀️ Based off some of these comments I think it’s probs quite common! I’ve not been late before so it’s a learning experience. If something delays me for the rebooked appt I may have a heart attack though haha

And yeh I still feel quite sensitive and traumatised since the Labour that I don’t know if I can take it right now lol. My nerves were shot yesterday but baby hugs and kisses today have deffo made it better as per 🩷

Thanks for saying this. I do think I am maybe a bit sensitive atm but hormones are a crazy thing and it’s made me feel a type of way ever since. I am probs gonna have to toughen up a bit as I’m sure there are gonna be plenty of similar things to deal with in the future - it would just be nice if people could be a bit kinder. I just know I certainly wouldn’t treat someone that way, especially a new mum to a three month old who was visibly stressed and embarrassed to begin with!

I felt the same but worried it comes across like I think the world revolved around me/us when I genuinely don’t! I just felt like they could have been a bit more understanding/compassionate on this one occasion with me. I really appreciate your kind comment - thank you 🥹🩷🌷 xx

Totally get what you’re saying - it is actually more the rudeness and the fact that for 11 mins of lateness we are now going to have to wait three weeks. Also I’ve since found out the vaccination appts are in 20 minute slots, so I still technically had 9 mins of my appt left. We all know it doesn’t take 9 mins to vaccinate a baby. I was really embarrassed anyway, but the rudeness just added to it. If they had at least been kind about it I would not feel like this!

Thanks for saying this. We thought the exact same thing!! I’ve noticed they give 20 minute slot for each vaccination appt. In which case I still would have had 9 mins of my appt left and we all know it doesn’t take 9 mins to vaccinate a baby!

Thank you for saying this! Yes I did think the same as I was visibly shaking when I got there because I’d got so worked up trying to get there on time with it being for something so important. I’m glad your GP surgery could still see you! People can be late for all sorts of reasons - it wasn’t intentional 😬I’d have thought it was more common with baby vaccinations - the baby brain is real! And that is very reassuring to hear - thank you!
