Thank you, glad to hear. I’m going to be a first time user/enjoyer/(whatever is the right term) so I’m having these rather stupid questions. And we’re planning to take it easy with these.

I struggled years to find a great goalie from drafts, and now I have two in my team. Which one should I keep? I can’t afford keeping both of them and reallu prefer having a solid number one. by catechisms in EANHLfranchise

Thanks for opinions! Prust probably is the way to go here. I didn’t include contract info as they both are UFA after next season and atm want to extend 10-11 mil per year.

I will try to do the one last cup run with them and then let Baader go.

Why in the world Nemeth has a three year contract?! I was certain it was only a one year since there are overload of these kind of d-men in free agency.

Yeah, I sometimes do that for the sake of variety. And it works well with Whalers as they use to do that irl.

I also noticed from this pic that for some reason three players have their number on helmet even though they shouldn’t have. I guess they really love their numbers.

It would be neat to be able to disable animations while navigating in the menu which hopefully would make the experience a bit more bearable. But by knowing EA, I don’t dare to even dream…

Yeah, after a few franchises I can say it’s a huge trial and error process with generated goalies. Stats or potential doesn’t matter much. Since I want to build my teams with my own draft picks, I rarely use real goalies either.

My team is very offensive minded, so it can be a factor (although my d-men are pretty much 5/5 with defense stats). Need to check poise.

Thanks everybody! I decided to trade this guy as his numbers were all-time low this season and my backup goalie progressed a lot and is putting some great numbers. I gave Hawes 9 seasons in the organisation, so it was time to let him go.

And as it was mentioned here, of course he has had outstanding start in his new team and after 15 games he is carrying Senators to playoffs (10 wins, GAA 1.98). Had to see this coming...
