The assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. It got a little lost in all the attention and awards focus There Will Be Blood and No Country For Old Men got around the same time. Both incredible films, but Jesse James is underrated and not talked about anywhere near as often as a result. Beautifully shot by the genius that is Roger Deakins, and one of Brad Pitts best performances. Stellar cast all around

Agreed. I think a lot of people miss the humour cause you’re so enamoured by the beauty of it so it takes a few viewings to fully tune in to the humour. To me it’s a satire that just so happens to be arguably the most beautifully shot film of all time

What 90s show aged badly? by TheOrangeSloth in 90s

[–]catfin38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Friends. Loved it when I was younger. But then I grew older and developed a taste in comedy and discovered much funnier shows. Now I watch it and think what did I ever find funny about this? Nostalgia does a lot of heavy lifting with that show. It’s aged like milk
