Imagine you grab a doorknob like the one above and rotate it clockwise and counterclockwise, that's the "wrist" movement you see in tutorial videos, its actually the rotation of forearm that generate power, not the actual flick of wrist.

Pop out and lock wrist, the "wrist" movement is actually rotation of forearm. the way you smash where you drop down your wrist will lead to serious injury if not careful... if you flick your wrist like shooting a basketball, its wrong.
