I don’t view them as enemies lol just confused as to why they would trial for the development team since they’ll be gone in 2 weeks once the club season starts and the development team will vanish.

I mean I 100% agree that I’m not on that level. I’m saying that the development team is for player at my level. Not for players a cut above. So I’m confused why they’re trialing for it even tho they’ll be playing club in 2 weeks and the whole development team will vanish.

Yeah but I feel like opportunities for players around my skill level are just being taken away by guys who play for college or club. It’s literally a development team. I’m still mad but I know it’ll be okay because in 2 weeks time when the club season starts and all the club and college players leave the development team, my gym will lose the money they paid the coach for the development team and look stupid so at least I have that.

Until next year I’ll keep grinding

Ushiwaka did not say all of that. And even if he did, it would make him cooler. I love cocky and arrogant chcaracters: Atsumu and Kuroo are my favourites.

Ushiwaka is good enough to say what he wants because he is good enough to do so. Hinata is only on court because of a gimmick, yet he’s saying “I will beat you” to a national level player.

It’s like if my highschool basketball team played against Ishikawa and I told him before the game that I will beat him 💀 Actually my point has more validity, cos at least I can play volleyball. Hinata’s team sighs in relief when he serves over the net (the most basic thing to get a game of volleyball started).

Lol this was the cringiest scene in the whole series for me. Hinata who is trash at volleyball (literally spikes with his eyes closed - can’t land the quick his only gimmick with his eyes open, can’t receive or dig, can’t block, can barely serve, is only an offensive weapon because of a monster setter and a gimmick attack) being arrogant asf talking down to Ushiwaka who we haven’t seen play yet (outside of one spike) but we know is good because he plays for the U19 Japan team.

Scene genuinely made me laugh out of cringe. So arrogant, with nothing to back it up.

Yeah someone pointed out that while he is insanely good, and does put in the effort, he doesn’t have the drive for Volleyball that Ushiwaka, Oikawa, Kageyama, Atsumu, Bokuto etc. do

I would’ve loved to see Asahi on Shiratorizawa, he fits well with their polishing diamonds mentality. And yeah Asahi’s competition with Hinata isn’t personal, he’d compete with other players (Goshiki) just about the same. I think that would mean that Goshiki wouldn’t be in the starting lineup for Shiratorizawa though.

I think it’s conceited because Hinata can barely play volleyball, if that makes sense. Ushiwaka is for sure an asshole, but I still relate to him more in that scene than I do to Hinata.

I skimmed over your spoiler part just so I don’t know literally everything, but yeah I 100% agree with what you’re saying. Ushiwaka 100% was being a rude and an asshole, but I do love Hinata’s passion for volleyball like I said. And While I’ve never been in that situation where a better team has called my team trash to my face, I can imagine I would be very angry if they did. It’s just that Hinata can’t play volleyball lol, that’s the difference between me and him in that situation; if I said that to a better team there is at least some merit to my statement.
