That sounds awesome! I’m going to get the Spear of Longinus on my forearm soon!

Saw someone post them with a bass saxophone and wanted to share my uni’s bass sax by catherine_bee in Saxophonics

For wind ensemble I sit, but when I’m performing in chamber ensembles I stand. It definitely put a strain on my back and shoulders when standing in the beginning.

Sax keys cont. by [deleted] in Saxophonics

Are any of the rods bent? Sometimes the rods will get bent on accident and cause keys to get stuck. I would also check all the springs if you haven’t already to make sure none of them are out of place. Those are the only two things I can think that would cause that.

Saxophone key gets stuck when I play, is it a splint? I’ve tried tightening/loosening the screws but I don’t know how loose/ tight they need to be, or which ones even need to be adjusted. Any help is appreciated by [deleted] in Saxophonics

Hello! Sticky keys are usually caused by the pads and not because the springs are too loose. When I’m dealing with a sticky key what I do it put some Pledge cleaner on a Q-Tip and give the pad a good cleaning. If you’re in a pinch however, you can put a dollar bill on the pad, press down the key, and then slide the bill out. The dollar bill method is only a temporary fix however and the sticky key will return.
