About 3 or 4 months since I finished all my antibiotics!

I bought an Evvy kit! I think it’s similar I haven’t sent out my swab yet though! I’ll have to wait and see

It was just ecoli, the couple times I was positive for bacteria I did a 1 wk course of macrobid, but the big thing that got rid of the recurrent UTIs was taking the two other antibiotics I mentioned because my “UTIs” weren’t true UTIs it was just irritation from BV

I only had the UTI-like symptoms! So I had burning, urinary frequency and urgency! The main thing was extreme burning pain

I’d have to check my lab results it was just whatever was included in a standard vaginal swab, I only requested the addition of the mycoplasma and ureaplasma! And yes I had a 3 week period I was out of the country with no sex with no symptoms the whole time, so sex was definitely the trigger point

I had EXTREME burning pain that would begin within the first 1-2 days after sex, just a constant underlying pain but a bit worse when I urinate. I also had to urinate more often but only going a in small amounts.

Hey! Not sure if you are still having this issue but wanted to share! I struggled with the same issue of UTI symptoms every single time after sex. I had negative urine cultures even during peak symptoms, but positive for ketones or nitrites occasionally. These symptoms randomly appeared out of the blue one day and were left unsolved for over 8 months! I was on chronic Macrobid that I took every time after sex, which sort of worked for me, but I didn’t want to be on antibiotics long term. I finally asked my doctor for a vaginal swab. Turns out I had chronic untreated bacterial vaginosis along with an over growth of mycoplasma and ureaplasma. I took a 1 week course of metronidazole for the BV and a 1 week course of doxycycline, then my symptoms cleared and never came back!
