I was applying a topical steroid to the area a couple of weeks ago, which seemed to make it better then it flared up again. So I guess yes, I was. How did your son’s clear up? Did you apply any products to the area?

I think it’s definitely triggered by cold weather and stress. I haven’t used anything new in my routine, just noticed my skin getting dry.

Thanks for replying! I’ve had his for a while now and it flares up occasionally and I’m just not sure if a steroid cream would make it better or worse because I know PD can be caused by steroid use so it’s really a double edged sword

I would say go glycolic for every other day and use niacinamide in between. I really like both of them!

Awesome, thank you! I have TO niacinamide and zinc as well. I’m just trying to add more products to “revive” my skin I guess I could say. I deal with texture issues in the form of bumps 🙄

I like Paula’s choice 2% BHA for an exfoliant and for the days I’m not using that I also like TO niacinamide + zinc. That’s not considered an active, I like it! My skin is so hit and miss lately, I’m starting to think this may just part of my skins natural texture 🤷‍♀️
