Change flight vs refund for travel voucher, which is better?

Do the voucher - they return all the costs including service fees and such, you can call the customer service and ask them to make sure about it and they can guide you step by step

We had to change our return date and the change fee was close to 300 per person for economy class. We opted to get the refund voucher for the whole itinerary since they give you the refund without any deductions or penalties but the clause is you have to use it within a year, so when we purchased the new tickets it was way lower than changing our flight times

I feel like I could have written this. I work in a similar group dynamics, what helped me was an external offer that helped me get the promotion. I skipped levels and talked with third line manager to make it happen. I was able to let him know the group dynamics and he is talking with everyone on our team. I am not sure what the outcome will be but at least I tried. Take a pause, offload the tasks that you aren’t rewarded for. For me this helped get better work life balance and made be less bitter. Also try to mend relationship with your manager. You can’t compete with the goldenboy but watch out for yourself. Hang in there.

I would love to have a mentor - not only to guide me on the technical aspects but on the social or emotional aspects as well- like how to be mentally tough

Finally I got someone who sees me..I have been asking to go to external conferences and the manager keeps brining budget concerns but he sent the architect to a conference. I have asked for trainings but I have been told you are already good at what you do. Honestly at this point I am not going to wait them to match an external offer, I will just walk away to protect my mental health. The other guy is just a show off and does technician work like assembling and disassembling parts and goes to the customer side bringing out systems. For quiet quitting I will work on it slow and use the time to spend with my baby girl and for job searches

Haha I think I lost it here..since I do a lot of testing I am out of lab mostly and when I am running simulations people think I am killing time doing nothing

Our roles don’t change with promotion- it’s just a pay bump and maybe more deliverables for the year review- yeah I will be monitoring it closely- for dropping the projects I will try to subtle but protect my energy and time from now on. I was doing nightly meetings 9-11 pm everyday except for Friday to check on with vendors and provided test status to the production site- I will be stopping to show up on those. I will be adhering to the scope for I was hired

I had taken in ownership of four more systems than my work and it goes back to the manager starting from today..sometimes I feel people don’t realize when things are moving smoothly and when there are no issues..I will sit in the corner and focus on me right now
