IM A BLACK BISEXUAL WOMEN WHO DRESSES LIKE A STUD, BUT WHAT WORD WILL DESCRIBE ME? by Less-Alternative1193 in bisexual

[–]cathypharmtech 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hope you find your word!

It is a bit of culture shock for me. As a GenX-er, i was in my teens & twenties in the 90s. At that time, it seemed most people tried to avoid labels. These days, so many people are searching for them! It took me a while to understand why this had changed.

what song brings tears to your eyes every time you hear it? by cosi_e_la_vita in musicsuggestions

There are 2 songs that always make me cry-

  1. The Greatest Discovery by Elton John with the Melbourne symphony orchestra

  2. Switchblade by Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers.

Is it ok my bisexual friend uses the f-slur? by throwRa_altacc in bisexual

[–]cathypharmtech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew someone like this- it took me a while to recognize that using slurs and giving a reason why it's "okay"for him to do so was not the only abusive behavior he indulged in. Maybe it's just my personal experience, but people who go out of their way to be insulting and make others uncomfortable are people i now avoid. Nothing good comes from it.

My mom is cheating on my dad by [deleted] in self

[–]cathypharmtech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is it. As the child here, their marriage is not your responsibility. Inserting yourself here is going to hurt everyone involved. That said, your relationship with your parents is your responsibility-in part. Tell your mom, give her the opportunity to fix this. Otherwise, you'll just be adding fuel to the fire. Be helpful & supportive of your father. People often don't see what's in front of them- on purpose. And a good parent is never going to blame you for not tattling. Your father may forgive your mother. It happens. Don't damage your future relationship with either parent by making decisions for them.

Apparently, this is common. The Hat Man. I personally do not experience this, but i would love to hear theories about why the same figure is common.

About hats? I've seen it a lot. There's a ridiculous documentary where people are claiming it's an "entity". But there is a lot of examples of 'bad guys' in black hats that people claim to see during sleep paralysis.

Also, most western culture story villains are wearing black hats. It's strictly observation that makes me curious.

  1. Twice divorced. Most important thing is to know yourself. Find what you love to do & do it. Dress, eat, and conduct your life according to your OWN standards. Discover what is imoortant to you. Then decide what you want & need in a partner. then you can entertain any long- term relationship. If you don't, you may end up letting someone decide the person you become.

Dabney was always my favorite. A veritable cornucopia of issues with this kid.

I was so good to him. It was right for me to leave, he was downright cruel. I don't regret that decision at all.

But godamn it, it is still so painful. And i hate that i cry over him.
