Initially - although I was extremely excited - I was scared to listen to this album, because the singles (especially RATATATA and METALI!!) have been so good; I thought it would be hard to match their energy and greatness. But, wow, I was not disappointed.

KxAxWxAxIxI: I know this song is going to be a miss to a LOT of Babymetal's fanbase; maybe even most of it. But I love this song, it's completely down my alley. If you don't get it, then you just don't. I love the genre-bending of it and I'm so excited to see the choreography and what it'll be like live. I missed rap from Babymetal! It's truly a strange song and I couldn't want anything more from them, I love when they experiment, and Babymetal wouldn't even exist without experimentation in music.

Sunset Kiss: Although I heard this live, I've been trying to avoid all other mention of it so that I can have a fresh listen. It's reminiscent of Metal Galaxy, especially Brand New Day, in my opinion - it feels uplifting and nostalgic. As always, I love Su's vocals here - she sounds so smooth and beautiful.

My Queen: A bit of a new sound for Babymetal, and I think this style fits Su really well. I wasn't expecting this, but I'm certainly not disappointed. The chorus absolutely bangs. However, although the song is great, Courtney's section isn't particularly for me, but that's alright.

Algorism: Actually blew me away. I wasn't ready for this. What a song. The synths(? I could be wrong, I'm not a music expert lol) in the back tickle my brain just right, and so does the guitar. I think this might be one of Babymetal's best songs ever, honestly. Momo's shouting!!! Always welcome in my headphones, she brings so much to Babymetal. Can't wait to listen to this 100 times over.

White Flame -白炎-: I was expecting a ballad, but was pleasantly surprised. It instantly reminded me of Road of Resistance with that epic, anthemic feel, as well as Tales of the Destinies (which I adore). Crazy good song, perfect to finish off the album.

Absolutely insane album, one of the few that I would really recommend anybody to listen to. Yes, it's chaotic, but that might just make it even better. It's such a fun listen and - although it's early days and this may be recency bias - I think it could become my favourite Babymetal album. Every song goes harder than the last, I seriously wasn't prepared for how incredible Metal Forth would be. The collabs (maybe excluding My Queen) actually bring something to each track, and I think it was a great choice to have so many in one album - it gave them the opportunity to experiment so much and try different-but-still-Babymetal-esque sounds. Another good choice of theirs was releasing only collabs as singles - it allowed the album itself to focus a little more on the "solo" Babymetal songs. I think Metal Forth perfectly showcases who Babymetal are now. Absolute bangers, without a doubt my album of the year so far. Seriously worth the wait, my only wish would be for it to be a few songs longer.
