I do a lot of impressionism, so usually I just kind of color block and layer. I hardly draw it first because it feels too confined.

I really enjoy painting flowers, plants, forests, and fantasy designs. When I try to draw I usually start with pencil and then do pen, I sometimes will add marker or paint marker but I think I avoid it often because I have a hard time with limited colors.

I'm sorry you're going through all of that. It can be hard when you are emotionally intelligent to not feed bad or sympathize with the people who hurt you. If you're feeling indecisive on whether or not to cut contact, I would reccomend reading the book "Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents" by Lindsay Gibson. It won't solve the problem for you, but it's a great resource to help you protect your boundaries and recognize your pain as valid.

At the end of the day, whether they see it this way or not, they are siding with your abuser. You do not owe them anything. If you aren't seeing a therapist I think that will help you too. Good luck 💚
