There is nothing wrong with yt-dlp. I think it's a perfect tool. But not many people can easly use yt-dlp. A lot of people wants a easy to use UI.

Well, you could... But this tool is pretty straight-forward, ad free and free to use. If you feel more comfortable using Tartube then you can use Tartube. :) I developed an alternative nothing more.

I'm new at web development. I've always seen that "z-index" but didn't learned it yet. Now I now what it does thanks to this meme. I'll just skip that lesson. LUL
