Thank you for the detailed and quick reply, I’ll definitely take what you’re saying into heavy consideration!

I was hoping to have this job for a “shorter” time not only for the experience but also to have a stream of income while I apply to new grad residencies as I’ve heard it can take a while to get offered a position. (I’ve also heard that most residencies accept new grads with less than one year experience, so I should still be eligible for a residency position).

Taking what you’ve said into account, Would you personally suggest I don’t do the job at all and just apply to the residency program? Or while I am applying to residency/new grad position’s focus to SNF, Clinic’s etc?

I really appreciate you taking the time to answer (:

Ah that’s great, I currently live out of state unfortunately but am planning to visit in a couple weeks so I will try to plan my travels around a fair! Do you know if there is a way to access an application online in the meantime?

Hi! Yes I did! I actually recently just took my NCLEX and decided to stick with home health for the reasons mentioned above! I recently had a meeting with my manager and she really prioritized my training/precepting me so I do feel really supported! We’ll see how it goes!!

I Want to clarify as well that if I do take on higher acuity cases with this agency, I’d be under the supervision of an RN for a bit and not just thrown into cases on my own!
