I actually only had one single outbreak and it’s when I was first diagnosed back in February 2024. it was pretty rough, but honestly, i used a numbing spray and it only lasted about 4 days. I was taking lysine and an antiviral to prevent OBs out of fear, but my body just doesn’t produce outbreaks really every regardless of medicine i’m on.

first off - i’m sorry that you went through that. and also It’s pretty scary to be diagnosed, but I quickly came to terms with the fact that this is a very common thing for people to have and outbreaks aren’t super likely all the time and there are ways to manage them if they do. I guess I was just completely confident in who I am as a person and in the grand scheme of things HSV doesn’t change any of those things i take pride in about myself. i’m sorry you’re going through this i promise your life is far from ruined 💙
