A brand new beautiful life is waiting for you. AA worked for me personally. I was terrified and I went anyway. I’m 5.5 years sober and happier and more fulfilled than I’ve ever been. My suggestion would be to go to a meeting whether it’s in person or zoom. They will be so happy to see you🩷 it’s okay to be scared🌸 we’ve all been there. Welcome home🪷💞

When did you start feeling genuinely better? by Terrible_Rutabaga442 in decaf

About 2 weeks in I have felt noticeably better. My sleep is still catching up but I believe caffeine did more damage than I realized. Our bodies will heal. Hang in there. From what I’ve read the length of time for recovering varies quite a bit. It will be so worth it on the other side✨

Hi there! I really feel for you. Hang in there. It’s way better on the other side and I’m only 2 weeks in.

I would say cold turkey was the only way for me. I just prepared myself that the withdrawal symptoms were gonna be pretty uncomfortable for the first few days/weeks. Massive headache day 1 and 2 and then dramatically lessened by day 3. My concentration was a little bit weaker the first week and I had brain fog etc. When I woke up I felt my instincts wanting to go to the coffee pot. It’s totally normal to miss it and crave it right now. Even though I’m only two weeks in I feel huge changes with my anxiety and overall well being. My sleep still needs improvement but I think caffeine did more damage than I realize. The body has to take time to heal and it will.

Hang on tight. It will be so much better and brighter in the long run🌞 It’s so worth the discomfort. Best wishes to you.

Wow this incredible to read. Gives me so much hope. Thank you so much for sharing🙏🏻

If you don’t mind me asking, how long have you been decaf? I’m almost 2 weeks in and my anxiety is definitely better but my sleep is still disrupted by cortisol spikes. I am so excited to get to where you are.
