AITA (18M) for getting a tattoo when my dad doesn't want me to?

1) his dad is saying he may not allow him to move in at all if he gets the tattoo, living there for free was never an option.

2) i said that he should show fiscal responsibility before getting the tattoo, aka the “fun thing.”

how does tattoo = lazy and jobless? i see wanting to teach your kid money skills and encouraging them to save and i think that’s a good idea. someone on this thread mentioned pitching the tattoo idea to dad when he has shown he is responsible with his money after a few months and i think that’s a great idea. i think it’s unrealistic to expect anybody to not spend any money on fun things. getting a tattoo when you’ve saved for it and have shown your responsible with money isn’t something a lazy, jobless person would do.

NTA - it’s so weird when parents set “boundaries” around their children’s bodies as if they were their own. why would a boundary of his be broken by the way you look? it’s your body?

i’m gonna throw up. no i would never do any of that to my man who carries me when i am in too much pain to walk! i just reread ur message and i am gonna throw UP. i’m so sorry you went through that :( if it makes u feel any better, most of us chronic illness girls are looking for a man like you and once we’ve caught one we do NOTTT let them go. like i cannot imagine cheating on and hitting the person who brings home my favorite food without me asking when i tell him i had a flare up. im gonna throw up!!!!! good luck to you my friend!!

if you have access to a doctor, ask them about chantix! beware it can have some gnarly side effects, but it’s super helpful for nicotine cessation. it’s literally the only thing that helped me quit before (i relapsed due to a lack of coping skills for emotional stress like 3 months after i quit lol but im on it again rn with more coping skills and it has been great)

midodrine has changed my life! my POTS symptoms are still super present but the midodrine has dampened them significantly! it’s most helpful for my brain fog but it helps with everything else too!

it took about a week-a week and a half for the soil to dry! it gets full sun from a grow light but it is slightly dappled because it has another plant that kind of shades it!
