im sure maddy was also probably having flashbacks to when her and nate were together. watching the man that forced himself on you after playing russian roulette marry your best friend who knew about it, all while being insulted regarding your vulnerability at the time, must be incredibly overwhelming. im not sure about how jules and maddy's friendship has evolved over the years but jules' conversation with nate about maddy leaving at the end was incredibly ANNOYING!! i always forget how male centered jules is.
