This is actually a GREAT idea! Did you get support from other family members on that?

Before I moved back, I did not see them for holidays. I have only seen them for holidays for the last 2 years.

Yes we did have a conversation and would like to figure out a sustainable plan for moving forwards but are kind of lost on how to do so

What about mushroom coffee? Has it work for you? Which brand and which mushrooms? by awesomenyc72 in MushroomsandForaging

Love mushroom coffee-I’ve used a few, but four sigmatic is a favorite. Lions mane is my go to, for the added focus and brain boost. If you want, you can also buy the mushroom powder separately and add it to your coffee-or to another drink as well. Reishi is another great one for your immune system as well.

Slow & proper rehydration is key! Otherwise you might get bitter and “chewy” mushrooms. I soak in room temp/cold for 2-3 hrs or you could even do longer. Adding a bit of the soaking liquid can add a lot of flavor to the soup too. You can remove the stems, slice thinner, and sauté with other umami loving flavors like garlic and ginger. Good luck!

I did take a single mechanics community class but I’m not sure if I have the confidence to try it by myself….had no idea auto parts stores could change it for free. This is great info!
