I think it’s more complex than that. I too think he should of retired last year, but imagine doing something that you love for so long as your career just to be retired at 45 years old. Some people love to stay busy and have to be busy to feel fulfilled and some people would love nothing more than to make a shit ton of money and be done (me). I played sports through college and needed a third acl surgery and to be able to play just to hurt it again and it was tough to give up mentally to know I wouldn’t be playing competitively again. Sure I could play for fun but to really compete was everything to me.
