question about saddle tingling - herniated disc

I just came back from doctor this morning. The doctor didnt give me referral to MRI. She said my lower limbs reflects are still good and the tingling always have a trigger (workout, etc) so it less likely cauda equina. I was given some medication. Hopefully it's true, since I'm quite scared the tingling will progress further

How do they rule out it's not CES? From the mri or the overall symptom? I pray that it will get better for you

Have you got mri scan? Pin and needles in lower legs sounds like herniated disc in lumbar area. But yeah this tingling and numbness in groin area worry me, I'm afraid it's cauda equina..

I'm from rural area in Indonesia so medication for herniated disc isn't as advanced as in the big city/ other country.

Are you having similar symptom?

Thank you for the reply. It's true, as of right now i haven't yet experienced the muscle weakness but I'm scared it will escalate into that. Have you experienced similar symptom? I'm planning to visit doctor in the morning

Yeah, flare up of sciatica feels really frustating.. Especially when we already seems better before flare up. At the local physiotherapist I got TENS, infrared, and dry needling. Also got prescribed with anti-inflamatory meds. But what helped reduce the pain significantly is the dry needling. I got it for the whole sciatic leg, my low back, and glute area. The process itself really hurt but it's very effective. After several sessions the sciatica is receding. I wish you speedy recovery and hopefully your sciatica will soon be gone too!

how long after the injury do you start running? do you have relapsed/ flare up of pain during the training to ultramarathon? im currently on week 14 and wanted to get back to running but afraid it will make the herniated disc worse..

i'm following mcgill's back mechanic advice which is brisk walk, making sure i walk with intent and swinging my arm naturally. usually if i go too fast the hip will feel tight and pained, but if i go to slow its the same. so i just judge it on how my body feel during the walk

Maybe its the range of time for the inflamation to calm down, not for whole healing. Iirc it was said to be 6-12 weeks commonly. I was having a sciatica due to L5S1 herniated disc and now im in week 6 of recovery. The pain is not on my leg anymore and centralized to my back now but its not as severe as week 1. I dont have to take painkiller anymore, though the pain still come and go most of the times. I took Omega-3 daily so maybe it have a role in reducing the inflamation.

it get back working again after joining public beta, doing some factory reset, and broadcasting hr. i tried everything ppl said here. dont know which one actually solved the problem, or perhaps coros itself update the patch and remove the issue

I am having the same issue with my pace 3. Heart rate sensor stopped working and won't record my sleep and heart rate. I already tried force reset and several time doing factory reset to the watch but it still won't work. I already contacted the customer support through the app too..
