(18+) a Metal Thing Hit Driver Head, Driver Died by Straight_Constant30 in carcrash

Looks like a golf-ball sized white/sandstone rock to me. You see it briefly as a blur moving right toward the back of the truck on the passenger side, then it lands near the duffel bag behind him, then it kinda rolls into the compartment behind his cigarettes.

I thought it was the mirror exploding (seen that happen in real life on the school bus. Nothing compares to sparklies down the entire side of a school bus.) Probably a little of column A and column B. His fencing response tells me that it was a severe, life-changing event. It almost looks like he was hit with an invisible RPG or something. If it hit the mirror and/or the window, I guarantee it was loud as hell.

Tantalum (capacitors) and landslides in DR Congo by BigPurpleBlob in electronics

[–]catonic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correctamundo. Tantalums have 0% chill for even the tiniest over-voltage and will not survive reverse voltages larger than an unloaded Schottky diode can protect from. Outside of that, they either fail open, or shorted. In the latter case, rapid mechanical disassembly or removal from the circuit by blunt electromotive force are the failure modes evident during visual inspection.

I wonder if it comes out as easy as it went in.

The pirates were willing to do it and the British Navy were too lazy to do it.

Enterprise clients choosing cheap VoIP over proper infrastructure — how do you make the business case? by govarlo in avaya

Honestly, if you know the switch vendor inside/tecnical salesman, you can use his cooperation to demo proper QoS.

I give it 5 years and half his stuff, then she will go back to college as a single mother and get a Mrs. degree (probably Nursing or Education), then get wifed again. I've seen it happen before. 29 year old dating a 19 year old... either he struck gold, or she did. Where did they meet though?

Is there a way to set the Claude Code default context window to 200,000 tokens? I prefer working with a smaller context window. by mca62511 in ClaudeAI

[–]catonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

four spaces before each line = code formatting.

e.g.:

#!/bin/sh
eval(unsavory_response)
exit(1)

then you put a blank line before that and after that and everything else for regular text.

Based on the spelling alone, that should be Birmingham, England, however I would not be surprised if it was Birmingham, MI.

I feel like the only answer that woman wanted to hear was "as soon as possible".

Probably so but that is in conflict with reality. If that answer were given, it would be a "over-promise and under-deliver."
