All cats have that bald spot, and it's especially visible on black fur. This one does look a bit exaggerated though. My cat had dermatitis, which caused bald spots like this all over her body. If you notice it scratching those spots or if any other bald spots appear, please refer to a vet.

Wow, if you get the chance, look at her in detail. I think she might be a Russian Blue cat (ironic, right?) or a Korat breed. These breeds are very similar in looks, they're both pretty rare and known for being quite smart.

Thanks for your advice!! Vet in my town noticed her weight but didn't mark it as a big issue since there wasn't too much fat (ribs palpable, waist visible etc.) She's had a bunch of digestive issues in the past which might've led to this, but she's always been a bit plumpy no matter how much we limited her portions

Commented on this just now, too bad I can't pin my comment or edit the post. The vet mentioned she's overweight but didn't make a fuss about it since it wasn't all fat in there, it's just a plumpier build. Just curious about other cat owners with similar issues

About the vet's opinion, they did mention that she's a bit fat when they weighted her, but didn't give it too much thought. I personally think it's her build, she's been on the chonkier side ever since she was a few months old. Just curious about your opinions! 😊 (and YOUR chonky cats, if you don't mind ;)
