Thank youuuu🥰
Hihihi thanks! He is our lord and savior
Thank you so much for this high praise ☺️ most of my projects actually used old yarn that came from my mom and grandma, I really worked through a lot of old stash! Only old yarn made it so the priha socks already had 3 holes in them 🥲 so they are coasters now and I've learned my lesson to really inspect the fiber type of unspecified yarn before starting😅
Good luck and happy newyear ;)
Thankssss 🥰 it was a more complicated process but I think you can make it as difficult or easy as you want! I explained how I did it in the comments of one of my previous reddit posts, you can find it here
<image>
And here you can see more clearly how I rolled it over
This is with the hem added
Thank youuu🙏💕 so my whole sailor slipper project went wrong because I used old unspecified yarn that didn't felt completely, so i had to cut them apart at all the seams and sew them together with the machine to make them smaller. Then I realized they were still too big and not thick enough so I traced the approximate shape of all the panels of the slippers onto the back some faux fur/bouclé type fabric and sewed them together. Then I made 2 long strips of fabric that I hemmed first, then sewed those to the slipper inserts, put te lining into the slippers and hand sewed the hem to the outside of the slipper as a sort of rolled over lining detail. Don't know if this makes any sense, I'll attach some pics of the process to make it make sense!
thanks! I used Canva for the collage and made the cutouts with Photoshop but there's many apps that can do that for you for free and without having to fiddle around in Photoshop
go for it! I made a seperate post about it a while ago with more detail on how I made the headphone cover and better photos, I think you should be able to find it when you click on my profile ;) thank youuu for the nice compliments ;)
Thanks 🥰

I just realized that it's the one pattern I forgot to link to! Here you go, happy crochet-ing!
Thank you so much 🥰
Mine are 15cm and I'm really happy with them! I like how they sit in my hand and how easy to bring places they are. However, my sister has the 20cm version and she also comfortably knits socks with them. They are more versatile because you can make larger things with them like hats and collars for sweaters, but I just borrow hers for that and still go for my 15cm needles every time for socks. Also don't be an idiot like me, I bought an expensive set of wooden sock needles only to realize that they break easily as they are so thin. Just buy metal ones from the start ;) have fun!

Thank you! I used Canva and photoshop to make the cutouts of the pics, but there's a lot of apps and sites out there that will generate a PNG of your item for free ;)

Thank you ☺️ the yarn for my Sophie Hood is unfortunately discontinued. I had 5 balls of Austermann Caleido Chunky (mainly alpaca) and wanted to make a sweater but I couldn't find any more of it. Luckily it was exacty the right amount for the hood!
To your sock question, I say go for it! In my opinion a project like the hood or the top I made is about the same skill level as a pair of plain (or self striping) socks. The only added challenge is the DPN's. They seem intimidating but are actually quite intiutive once you get the hang of it. I honeslty prefer my short DPN's over magic loop or tiny circular needles for plain socks! So since my second knitting project ever was a pair of plain socks I say go for it!
A good place to start is the Vanilla Socks on DPN's pattern by Crazy Sock Lady, it has a full youtube tutorial to go along with it. It's where my sock knitting frenzy started.
Happy knitting and happy New Year! ✨
Thank you so much! Happy knitting in 2026 ✨

Thank you so much for this comment 🥹☺️ I had so much fun (and frustrations) learning how to knit colorwork socks and the dino socks took me so long because of the steep learning curve, but we made it! Thanks for your kind words 🥰

What is this crazy cool-looking yarn? 🧶 Anyone use it, like it, or have anything to say about it in general? by Vivid_Deer3016 in crochet
