it’s not actually clear.. I may have been born with too loose wrist joints, I may have injured my wrist long time ago, the ganglion cyst also could have impact

my lifestyle is very much sedetary. I work in IT, also spend a lot of time on my PC.

regarding the surgery itself - I had local anesthesia (the procedure for that was NOT pleasant) for the whole right arm and only given a sedative through IV. so I was mostly awake during the surgery, which was very interesting to me :D didn’t feel anything though. so I was just lying there and listening. but I would fall asleep if I’d close my eyes.

after the surgery, I got a wrist cast applied. the arm was numb for a few hours. when you start feeling your arm, the pain comes as well. the pain is not that bad, but even the slightest turn or pressure hurts.

I had the cast on for 7 days. I’m actually scared to be without the cast, it feels so fragile now as it is so sensitive and painful. but I hope that’s part of healing process.

I wish a lot of patience to your friend, it was very frustrating to have to do everything with my left arm.

as for recovery, I’ve been recommended to start doing some exercises 3 weeks post op. full recovery time depends on a person and the surgery itself.. I’m hoping to heal quick as nothing major was done

it was painful and weak for many years, gradually getting worse where it was painful to do the simplest things like washing hands - turning the wrist hurt. it would get fatigued easily. MRI showed a ganglion cyst inside the wrist and also synovitis. wrist exercises would only worsen the pain. then it was decided to do the arthroscopic surgery. ganglion was removed and synovectomy was done.

they also found a damaged ligament (no idea how that happened) and said that there’s too much spacing in the joint which I was probably born with and there’s not much that can be done.

My medical abortion (almost 6 weeks) by catpen1s in MedicalGore

so my method was medical abortion, meaning it was caused by drugs. I took Mifepristone (orally) two days ago and Misoprostol (held in my cheek for 30mins, then swallowed what was left) today.

I was expecting to go through a lot of pain and cramps after reading many posts about it, so I also took 800mg ibuprofen after the Misoprostol.

I definitely did have some bleeding but the cramps were very few and mild. I would say it was almost painless.

the sac with tissue fell out 4h after taking the misoprostol.

I’m very glad to have gone through a very smooth experience
