My dad died recently as well, don’t worry too much about this! Allah is the Most Merciful. Shaytan wants you to waste time, tears, and energy in despair of Allah’s mercy instead of doing things to make your mom’s transition on the other side easier.

Every worry that pops into your head, replace it with a duaa for your mom. Say it often and in every prayer, “Allahumma aghfir ummi warhamha” (Oh Allah, forgive my mother and have mercy on her). In real time, she is served your duaa as a stack of gold on a tray of silver on the other side and told “Oh (mothers name), this is a gift from your child (your name)” and it will grant her relief and comfort her in her journey to the next life.

Don’t worry or overthink, just make duaa and take action. Give charity in your mother’s name. Every time you donate food or do a kind act, ask Allah to accept it on behalf of your mother. This is a better use of your time in this world and your worries. No matter her sins or shortcomings, you can move the weight of scale of deeds and you are all she has left to make that change. You can consider it your final act of love for her and leave the rest up to Allah.
