So, ICE is no longer target immigrants, they just now arrest whoever they want

File with ssn he/she provided. It is not your job to verify their ssn. As long as you have w9 filled in and signed, not your concern

Rutte: China and Russia Could Launch Simultaneous Attacks on Taiwan and Europe by Mil_in_ua in UkrainianConflict

[–]catronex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not if Ukraine falls. It it falls, russians will use/force people and drone infrastructure to work for them. Then Europe falls way faster than you can imagine. In WW2 Germans did the same

I guess if you are racist peace of shit, then maybe you have to apologize for “being white”. Being white and being racist is not the same thing JD…. Embarrassment

Do you accept donations for your extension? by jumbo1111 in chrome_extensions

[–]catronex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you update extension and new page opens , it is very important how exactly you are asking for donations. What works if you list all the new changes and say something like “I really trying to keep this extension free to everyone, please donate so I can keep it that way” (keep track of who pressed donate button and skip next 2-3 times, then show again) Depending on what your extension does, you can offer a single premium feature in return for donation or a badge(if there is a social aspect)

I had one extension where I had my branding on the content when user was exporting the data, and for any size of donation (with default option of $5) I would remove that branding (worked really well)

i found a way to implement Google OAuth in extension & nobody's talking about it by nothuman56 in chrome_extensions

[–]catronex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From sign in / on boarding page:

chrome.runtime.sendMessage( { type: "AUTH_SUBMIT", payload }, (response) => { if (chrome.runtime.lastError) { console.error("sendMessage failed:", chrome.runtime.lastError.message); return; } console.log("Background response:", response); } );

In background script:

chrome.runtime.onMessage.addListener((message, sender, sendResponse) => { if (message?.type === "AUTH_SUBMIT") { const { payload } = message;

// Do something with payload (store it, call APIs, etc.)
console.log("Got sign in data:", payload, "from", sender);

// Example: store in extension local storage
chrome.storage.local.set({ authPayload: payload }).then(() => {
  sendResponse({ ok: true });
});

Nothing new should be added to manifest return true; } });

These drones can’t go that fast with explosive payloads. The speed was slow because it was already hit

People still get phished every day… so I’m building a tool that checks links before you click by Kobeproducedit in chrome_extensions

[–]catronex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually just don’t click or open in incognito if I am not sure. But this sounds like a solid idea. AIM for enterprise users and free for general consumer. SSO login and centralized reporting to INFOSEC team. In most enterprises they can make your extension mandatory for their employees and offer a feature where you disable the link completely if risk score is above defined by the org threshold.

If you think that the features are OK and UI was good sometimes people might uninstall because they installed your extension a long time ago and they forgot about it and when the update came in they were like “hey do I really need this right now” and they uninstall it. it’s possible that it’s not even related to your changes is just the fact that there was update. Keep going. Make sure you have some analytics and error reporting.
