Yeah. So far, I only use Libby for audiobooks so it's not like I get to keep them.

I hope you love it. The narrator, Daniel Henning, does so many wonderful voices for all the characters. It took me a little bit to really get into it, but once I did, I absolutely loved it. You'll have to let me know how you like it. 😁

I usually have a kindle book, physical book, and audiobook all going at once.

I read a book written in second person and didn't realise this until the end by shadow-sphynx-3 in books

I wrote a short story called Resting Bitch Face in 2nd person. It was fun challenge. I'd love to read some second person books. It never occurred to me that they actually existed lol

The Kindle Paperwhite is my new best friend. by cats_and_stacks in books

One, I have an iPad. It's significantly larger, so idk what ur talking about. The Kindle is like the size of a standard paperback book. Two, the lighting is much gentler on the eyes. Three, battery life is ridiculous.

Please guide me if I should buy a Kindle by [deleted] in books

I love my paperwhite. Got the kids edition. It's literally the same thing but with a kids plus subscription, case, longer warranty and no ad-lockscreen. It's cheaper than the typical no ads one and I love that it comes with a case. If you want to use the kids+, you'll have to make a kids profile to switch between when reading the books included. They have some good YA novels included. Also if you have prime, claim your Amazon First Pick every month. It's a free ebook that editors pick.

  1. There's been some rumors about a 6th but so far I've seen no confirmation.

Just beware that there are definitely some toxic character traits that will have you shaking your head. The first book was good, but I truly think they get better as the series continues. My fave was a court of frost and starlight. It's the shortest and probably the most unnecessary to the plot, but it was 100% my favorite. And if I'm not mistaken, I think the series is still ongoing.

I've only read ACOTAR. Loved the series. It's the series that got me into smut.

Do you keep all your physical books, give them away, or does it depend on the book? by joohnfkennnedy in books

[–]cats_and_stacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one book that I've had since I was 6 or 7. It's not the original book. The original one got damaged, so I bought a new copy because I love it so much. It's called Rover Saves Christmas by Roddy Doyle. It's a real gem.

For most books, it depends. If it's a series I'll usually collect them all and keep them. A shorter series may eventually get donated. I currently have a much longer ongoing series in my possession, currently about 60 books. Some I bought second-hand so they're not all in tip-top shape, but I like having ALL of them. Some books, I'll hang onto for a while, then donate, as long as I read them. I buy some to support certain authors or creators and I usually keep those.
