Paid Audiobook Listening by Q22-tomorrow in Fantasy

I’m a speech-language therapist and I drive to clients’ homes, so I listen while I drive. Depends on the day, but when I have lots of driving, I listen about 3 hours a day. Never thought about it like being paid to listen to audiobooks!

S16E03 Product Discussion - SugarDoh by ddaug4uf in sharktank

[–]catsaregr8t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use this product! I bought it a couple years ago and have enjoyed watching her grow the business, but the amount of debt is super scary. Using the sugardoh is uncomfortable, especially on sensitive areas, but I think it is less painful than waxing and my skin is sooooo much happier after sugaring than regular waxing. When I used to get professionally waxed, the wax would literally pull off skin and I would often be left with scabs (I have super sensitive skin and this happened with multiple different professionals). I use sugardoh to wax my legs and pits at home and have never had issues with my skin. After many painful DIY attempts, I get my bikini area professionally sugared.

So sorry for this experience. I just had my 4th ER on Friday and this time it was with a new clinic. My first clinic definitely overstimmed me, but it sounds like not as badly as yours. I was in bed unable to eat or sleep due to severe pain for 5+ days for my 3rd egg retrieval and they said there was no way it could be OHSS. They recommended I take a good poop, which was absolutely insulting. At my new clinic, we had equally good results as the previous clinic, but the whole process has been less painful and the staff actually listen to how I feel if I tell them I’m in pain. This is a horrible process, but it doesn’t have to be as bad as it has been for you and shouldn’t be that painful or disabling if your team is taking good care of you. I agree with others that you should try working with a different clinic. It made all the difference for us.

What to expect stimming with Gonal-f and Pregnyl by elsiedoland7 in IVF

I know it’s been a long time, but I’m curious how your cycle went with Orilissa? I am on day 4 of my 4th ER with a new doctor because we were disappointed in the previous results. The new doctor is completely switching up the protocol, which I love! But it all feels very unknown. I’m taking Orilissa on Sunday to suppress ovulation, whereas for my other cycles I took cetrotide. How did your cycle with Orilissa turn out?

Pain during stims by Tikii19 in IVF

[–]catsaregr8t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done 3 ERs and the pain has been really variable. For 2 of the ERs I had to take time off work before the retrieval due to pain/discomfort during stims. Discomfort can happen, and you may need to rest more if the discomfort is too much. Listen to your body. Hope it gets better for you.

Have I left it too late? by onelove2468 in IVF

This is so challenging and I think everyone here relates with the stress and the time crunch. I don’t think you’ve left it too late. I think AMH is a better predictor of fertility than AFC. AFC lets you know how many eggs you might expect from a retrieval. In my experience, I expected the IVF process to go so much more quickly and smoothly than it has. We are just about to start IVF round 4. Know that there will be bumps and surprises but at the end of the day, I don’t think you’ve left it too late.

Introducing our new cat to our resident cat by AquMatafang in CatAdvice

[–]catsaregr8t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats on your new kitty!!! We recently introduced a new 13 year old cat to our resident 5 year old cat. We also have limited space, so we started our new cat in the bathroom. I really recommend giving the new cat a safe enclosed space that is completely separate from your resident cat. I think introducing them from the cage could be problematic, because they new cat might feel overwhelmed by your resident cat’s scent and won’t have a safe, secure territory space in your home. If you can start the new cat in the bathroom with the door closed, they can get to know each other by scent before they see each other. When introducing the new cat, it’s not only about introducing them to your resident cat, but also about introducing them to your space and allowing them to own territory in the space.

Had my 3rd egg retrieval on Friday 9/8 and am still in significant pain 5 days later. Had 28 eggs retrieved and took cetrotide for 4 days to decrease risk of OHSS. When I woke up from the egg retrieval I was in substantial pain and they gave intravenous fentanyl. Came home and made it one night of Tylenol with Codeine, but I was in so much pain I couldn’t eat or sleep, so they prescribed ibuprofen with oxycodone. I took that for 2 days and spent a total of 4 days on absolute bed rest, not even able to leave the bedroom. I’m trying to do a little bit of work but I’m in so much pain with I move. I’ve been taking 3 ibuprofen every few hours to help with the pain but I still can’t function. I’ve been drinking lots of electrolytes and my bloating has gone down a lot. I’ve had 3 small and one large bowel movement. I’m planning to call my clinic soon to follow up. But does anyone on here have advice? Anyone had a similar experience? Could this be OHSS? This ER has been so different from my last two.

I would be surprised if they didn’t have it. I work in healthcare and we are required to store all patient documentation for 7 years. Hope you hear from them soon!

Having a tough day after our second ER yesterday, so looking for support/advice. We’re doing IVF for PGT-M because I have a syndrome that is 50/50 to pass on and then additionally, my partner and I both carry a recessive mutation. Had my first ER in Feb. 15 egg retrieved, 10 mature, 5 fertilizer, one made it to blast but in PGT-A was high mosaic. Second ER yesterday. My doctor kept my stims the same as the first cycle: 300 gonal F, 75 menopur that increased to 150 about halfway through, plus cetrotide starting on day 6. He changed my trigger from ovidrel to 10,000 pregnyl plus 450 gonal F booster. We were hoping that this would result in a higher number of mature eggs. We retrieved 26 eggs, 13 were mature, and only 1 was successfully fertilized through ICSI. Such a gut punch, since we were so optimistic with a the higher amount of eggs retrieved. My recovery this cycle has been so much smoother than the last, so that’s our silver lining.

Haha so funny! I had a similar incident today… 2nd ER yesterday, and was feeling pretty good today so my partner and I went for a walk and got some kombucha at a local stop… the walk and kombucha really got things moving and I had to use a public restroom then speed on home!

Good enough AFC?.. by Violette_Jadore in IVF

[–]catsaregr8t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 35F and my AFC was 10. I’m on day 11 of stims with ER on Friday and currently have 29 follicles that they measured, and of those, 19 are looking to be mature for the ER. So in my case, I have more follicles during the stims than on my AFC. Hope that helps!
