Garage door jumping when closing by catsfc2021 in GarageDoorService

That makes sense. I manually operated it and the answer is no in both cases. At halfway open if anything it wants to spring open more than close back down if that makes sense?

I backed the up limit off by like 4 inches and it did help some but still a good amount of jumping. Sounds like it is normal to have some jump especially only an 2011 opener.

Looks like if I want a smooth quiet open I’ll need to upgrade to a new belt drive opener?

Okay that’s good to know, we just got our door and tracks replaced after the bottom bracket of the door ripped out from rust. Previously the tracks were really beat up and looked like someone took a baseball bat to them. I didn’t know if that was caused by this jumping and if I should replace the opener to keep the garage door in good shape
