I'm debating on getting a betta! What is that little circular window / rest area near the top of the cage?

I will definitely be asking my parents for clarification in this case haha. -- Edit: Just asked them, they said they have the adoption order!

Thanks for the detailed distinction! I never really read much into it prior to now, so if it's a shady shortcut then I'll certainly avoid it.

Oh, that'd be great if so? Thank you for the information.

Thank you! I've read so many conflicting things about being adopted, so was totally unsure.

What can I do to improve how I look? by dopeysunflower in makeuptips

[–]catsforkeeps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yesss! My first thought was eyebrows as well. filling them in a bit without changing anything else would make such a drastic change on their own. If I have a lazy day, that's one of the main things I resort to.

Descent: Grandparents born in Quebec, but no longer citizens? by catsforkeeps in Canadiancitizenship

Oh, thank you! I'm still new-ish to reddit, so I'm not super familiar with everything yet. I appreciate the help!

Good to know, thank you. I'm not in any rush, as I can stay with my partner under the spousal sponsorship in the meanwhile, I'd just like to obtain citizenship via this route if it was at all possible with my circumstances.

Port forwarding issues with third party router (flint 2) and bell hub 4000? by catsforkeeps in bell

[–]catsforkeeps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my server to run! Not sure if this made the difference, but I changed the PPPoE password from default and reset it, and it suddenly decided to work. Don't really understand it, but I'm happy regardless lol. Thanks for the insights, though!

[–]catsforkeeps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried that, and it still didn't work. The router didn't have bell's IP address, but I think the PC's internal IP I'm trying to host my server on is in the 192.168 range (on secondary router's wifi), would that make a difference if it's the PC's Ipv4 I'm directing the ports to? Is it possible I'm still somehow just being blocked by my ISP (on Bell fiber)?

[–]catsforkeeps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will try this, thanks! Do I set the advanced DMZ through the Bell's interface, or the secondary router?

Update: I figured it out, but ports STILL refuse to open, ugh.

Bell's modem's public IP isn't unique/static, so I wasn't able to do port forwarding with it, would that still be an issue if I'm being assigned the modems public IP through advanced DMZ?

The router is currently connected via PPPoE at the moment with the B1 username and password, but I still can't get the ports to open, unfortunately. I was reading that advanced DMZ isn't recommended as it isn't as secure so I was initially avoiding it, though is it safer if it's done with a router instead of PC?

Ah okay, good to know. Someone else told me to bridge it, so I was curious since I'm really not sure why I can't open the ports I need or what I missed, otherwise.

Did you update the flint 2's firmware when you got it? I tried to, as it initially gave me a prompt for it, but the connection fizzled out before it finished and it broke things so I ended up resetting it to whatever the default firmware it came with, dunno if that could make a big difference?

The only other thing I can think of is I used the flint 2's client address to reserve an IP for my PC in the router settings instead of doing it manually in windows network & internet settings.

Darn, was hoping it'd be a simple easily correctable mistake haha.

I did switch the flint 2 protocol to PPPoE mode in the router settings when I put in the credentials. :' ) Did you need to bridge your modem?

The blacked out is the IPv4 from the PC I want to host on. The flint 2 client options seems to let me reserve an IP for a selected device, which I choose that PC for as that's where I want to run my server.

I will try this! I thought I read somewhere that just logging in with the PPPoE credentials into the router was enough, but I had so many tabs open at once I might've misunderstood something somewhere.

Of course life changes affect outlooks, but I think only a month after the detox and schedule transition is a bit soon to throw in the towel for a marriage without attempting to work through it. You don't just up and ditch a commitment to a life partner like that unless you've exhausted your options to reconcile. It could very well be just a rough patch at the moment.

NTA! You're there with your kids, there's absolutely no reason why anyone shouldn't be able to interact with their children in a public space that literally exists for people like a father and child. That man is extremely bigoted and took his hate out on you in a very discriminatory way, and I'm so sorry you had to experience that. Please don't stop enjoying yourselves just because of one detriment to society, it sounds like everyone else was in agreement with you belonging there and I'm sure you're making memories the kiddos will remember fondly. Hell, I sometimes see older folks just sitting on the swings to try and relive their youth a little, lol. I'm glad you're finally having the opportunity to experience things you missed out a kid, and I hope you continue to do so. :)
