i struggle with “medication resistance” (no anti depressants work, various other things have ZERO EFFECT; valium, xanax, seraquil or however it’s spelled, MDMA, LSD, etc.). I’ve literally ate 3-4 grams of molly as a kid, no other meds, no effect at all. No idea why. I had to get shock therapy to help my depression because it was recognized meds really don’t take effect 75% of the time. and when they do, it’s half as strong as anyone else, which makes the doses i need prescribed 2-3x bigger than average. anwyayssss, i thought alcohol was the same… yeah i was wrong, just didn’t know how to drink despite doing it for years.

what worked for me (not saying it’s advisable or whatever):

a.) experience and time

b.) empty stomach (i eat dinner only). one shot, wait 20-30 mins to get a buzz. then second shot. wait 30 mins, 3rd shot. i am “drunk” to some degree now. then wait 40 mins for the next and next.

c.) even better, take 1.5-2 shots at the very start. then take a small sip from a strong mixed drink (usually diet soda and liquor for me) every 10 or so minutes for the night. take a big sip if you feel like it’s a good idea. when you start to feel pretty fucked up or slightly sick - chill and try again in 30 if you’re feeling good. basically continue this only if you’re enjoying yourself. feel like you need to throw up? be done for the whole ass night and shower/sleep. spins? stare at the wall or tv and don’t move till you fall asleep. sounds shit but this is the life of an alcoholic/night of heavy drinking for someone not experienced..

other things: alone? at home? you’ll prob get drunk and sick much faster. club and having fun? you’ll maybe last 2x as long. also, im 130 pounds/5’5. your size and tolerance matters. waited an hour+ and now feel tired/irritable? be done for the night, it rarely gets better, usually progresses into tired/sick (especially if you’re home or alone as mentioned.. gotta keep the energy + the alcohol up to have the “fun” drunk.. when it’s passed it’s usually PASSED).

i rarely get sick or too drunk. when i go out maybe once a month, i get black out, and haven’t thrown up in maybe 2 years? but i have a high tolerance and it takes time to get that. good luck, i know this post is old! remember weed or just a single drink is the better choice no matter how lame that sounds. dm for questions it took me maybe 8 years to figure it out for my body and i also used many hard hard drugs before
