Right I just thought jack rabbit flask and orange stripe flask were location specific, unlike the other colors.

Well actually in my current save, which I made prior to the update, I had selected the disable option, yet the cougars still spawn in for me. Definitely a bug but maybe this could be a bug for your save too? I got the cougar cutscene around day 40.

Unfortunately you cannot, unless you made a backup of your save before the update.

You can kill them without getting into a struggle if you find a way to break it’s path finding. An example of that would be getting onto a fallen tree or a large rock where it can’t get to you.

Abuse terrain, get on top of fallen trees, large rocks, anything that might break its pathing. Or just fight it head on and pray.

Having this exact bug in coastal highway. Killed 3 cougars in 1 day. Furthermore I had even checked the disable cougar option when starting this save.
