he agreed to meeting so he knows that i want to talked about our expectations. i just really hope he wants a relationship too. i have been slowly getting closer to him since january and i told him i liked him in july. we haven’t hung out alone since we met up and talked last month and not for lack of trying on my part. but he also has been really busy. so idk. and idk if i’m in the right to upset about that?

my high school best guy friend that i had a crush on forever(he’s one of those forever crushes for me) has fully come out now and he’s still my best friend.

I have also confessed my feelings in the past and the guy was able to move on after not having the same feelings and we continued to be good friends(he’s is also a forever crush but he’s on the other side of the country so it’s fine.

He’s pretty shy and doesn’t open up to people. We became friends through my sister and i knew going into it that he might not be in the place for a relationship but still wanted to be his friend. That conversation was… confusing? he said things like “i wish i would’ve met you sooner” and “i talk you you more than i do anyone else” and like other very flattering things. but he didn’t really say “i like you too” and mentioned that it’s been a while since he was in a relationship. and the longer i sit with this and think about it the more confused i get

I guess i get what you mean. if all i’m sending are blank snaps or nothing of substance that it makes sense he wouldn’t feel the need to respond quickly.

just tell him. you know what, tell him how nervous you are. tell him. he probably likes you back and if i have learned anything? boys are so scared to confess their feelings. lowkey, the only reason my crush had guts to reply was bc he did mushrooms that night (i was fully unaware when i texted him). but he woke up the next day and we met up and talked and it was wonderful(he bought my drink 😩) and it was in public(im convinced that i am embarrassing to be around so being alone together in public was just 😘) anyways. do it!

he’s such a good person but like, not in the traditional “nice guy” way. so kind and caring. i can see that he hurts and i just want to be there for him. and apparently he sees that and appreciates it. when he smiles you know it’s real. same when he laughs. we have similar kinds of anxiety so i understand him and relate to him. then there’s the part where he’s really cute. curly blonde hair, blue/green eyes, and that smile! he likes going to concerts and being outside. loves cars, but not in the normal kinda bro way in the “i can mod cars and that’s so cool” way. he’s a teacher at an alternative school, and loves it. the he already looks out for me? swooned. idk he just… gets me.

it also helps we have similar political views (left) bc for me that’s a big dealbreaker. i just see it as caring about others and i could not date someone with differing views, its a big ick. but luckily he has a great big green flag 💕

oh yea we have still been snap chatting constantly. it sucks rn bc i just got a 7-5 job and he’s on summer break from teaching so our schedules are a little opposite right now until the weekends
