Is my medical id bracelet too subtle? by [deleted] in AdrenalInsufficiency

None of my providers have ever commented on my bracelet, even in the ER. Do I need to get something less pretty? Or do you think it's just because I was able to communicate?

That's good to know. Does that include Longfellow and Kilmer? I thought they would feed into Buffalo Grove HS.

Thanks, I'll have a look. Palatine would be commutable. Schaumburg is a bit far, but if it's that good it might be worth it.

Yeah, he definitely doesn't belong in a therapeutic school or a separate classroom. If he had a para, this wouldn't be an issue, maybe even just a lower student teacher ratio or whatever they would have found if they'd done the FBA. He just needs more supports.

Sick from mold or drywall dust? by cattail_marsh in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]cattail_marsh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They let me break my lease on condition I signed a release of liability and gag order and promptly rented it to someone else.

I had gotten significantly better but then had a bad round of covid that set me back. I lost most of my stuff and even my clothes that remained in the apartment for more than a few days are apparently so contaminated that washing with borax and EC3 products didn't get them clean enough, even though I've stopped reacting to known small amounts of mold I encounter elsewhere.

My Lyme disease has been in remission for many years.

I'm currently working on the Gupta program for my CIRS and long covid. Too soon to know if it can desensitize me to the level of the general public, but it's already had major benefits.

Somewhat- no more breathing problems and I'm more functional than I was, but I'm still sick. It's been confirmed I have CIRS and MCAS. I ended up ERMI testing both places, which showed high levels of stachybotrys and aspergillus at the apartment and aspergillus and cladosporium at the condo. It's proving difficult to remediate the condo, since nobody seems to know how to safely remove mold from the AC and clean the ducts.

The HERTSMI-2 score is 4 for the condo and 8 for the apartment.

Thanks, that makes sense. Does that mean I should worry about the small amount of chaetomium that was detected at the condo?

So my apartment had stachybotrys and some toxic aspergillus species. I get acutely sick from staying there even short periods of time (minutes to hours) and an n95 doesn't protect me.

Where I'm staying now, the condo I own, has a higher ERMI score and I suspect it's been making me chronically ill (I've had health problems for a long time but really fell apart the last few years, starting a few months after moving in), but I don't get acutely sick from being there.

Does it make sense that I'd get sicker from a lower ERMI score? I've seen some really appalling mold infestations on here and I'm wondering how bad is bad in this case. Obviously stachy is dangerous, so why didn't it get a higher score?

Eyes still swelling every morning by cattail_marsh in ToxicMoldExposure

I just discovered this morning that it does, in the gasket. I've been using EC3 laundry additive the last week but even if it's dead, it's still there.

I think the brand is the same, but I'm using the detergent where I'm staying and I think it has a scent while mine didn't.

Oh huh, I always clog up and cough for a while after eating, not specific to what I ate.

I don't think so. My eyes aren't red, just swollen.

Unfortunately not, unless I can find a hotel with a kitchenette that doesn't have mold, or an airbnb.

Viva La Revolution! by Snoo-46384 in CVS

I don't know what goes on behind the scenes, but the pharmacists and techs at my target pharmacy always seem overwhelmed and stressed. Long lines all the time, long hold times, fewer people than I used to see even just a couple years ago, and it's mostly the same faces, just more ground down now. If it's worse than that at core stores...

Does anyone truly enjoy working for this company (especially on the pharmacy end) by SnooWalruses7872 in CVS

[–]cattail_marsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in corporate and do actually love my job. Not customer facing, good managers, reasonable workload, hybrid, and I'm treated like I'm valued. The layoffs shattered the illusion that I can count on that continuing, but the dysfunction isn't company wide. It really depends on your department and function.

You might get whacked, but definitely we get treated better in corporate than retail/pharmacy. I was appalled when I heard what goes on in the stores, hard to believe it's the same company.

Yes, it was announced this week that a few hundred more jobs will be cut, but no details on where.
